asking the question: Is the NUS working for us? We don't think it is. We think the NUS has failed to represent students effectively. We think the NUS has failed to get to grips with the problems of student finance, housing, and standards of tuition. Not only has the NUS failed students, it has prevented any meaningful input into decision making from the student community. We think it's time to leave, some universities already have. Look at Glasgow, Edinburgh, UMIST, Imperial College London, the list goes on; for the first time in years they are finding they can make a real difference on national and local student issues on which NUS have failed. Have a look around the site, there's all the latest news on the various campaigns up and down the country, and all the arguments for leaving this sinking ship. A little bit about us: no2nus is non-funded, run by full time students and has no political platform or bias. In fact it is the very party political nature of our union which most disgusts us. The site has support on campuses nationwide from Edinburgh to Exeter, and could not have been made were it not for the fantastic co-operation we have had from all the institutions that have helped us on the way.
